Kafou

“Kafou" is a series of images that explores and celebrates Haitian myths, folklore, history and spirituality. The word “kafou” means “crossroads” and has spiritual implications in Haiti. I used my understanding of the word to guide me, and remind me of my place, as I made each of these images at the intersection of understanding and interpretation.
